Stackable Rip-Rap Stone
Type:
- Stackable Stone
Our lineup of stackable Rip-Rap Stone is a versatile product that can be used to build heavy retaining walls and stabilize all types of embankments. It is produced from NYS greywacke bluestone rock. These large and generally square rocks come in several sizes ranging from “Light” 1 ton, to “heavy toe stone” sizes up to 10+ tons. The small sizes can be stacked and managed with a mini excavator or large skid steer while the largest sizes will require specialized equipment such as a crane, wheel loader or large excavator.
Retaining Walls, culvert bridges, stream crossings, road embankments, and storm water features are some of the many projects that can be built from this product. Unlike concrete and other wall systems that degrade after 10 to 15 years, our natural greywacke bluestone will last the test of time and remain unchanged hundreds of years into the future. Walls and features built using this product preform over time better than any other system when it comes to frost, erosion, and punishing conditions. There are many historical road projects to reference when considering the durability of a wall built from heavy stackable rock.
