Aden Ice Control Grit

Aden Ice Control Grit is a gritty sand that is dark grey/blue in color. This is a great alternative to spreading salt because it eliminates the environmental issues caused by salt runoff. It is also clean and free of any fines that may turn muddy. Aden Road Grit is dry product that is air classified and free flowing for use in sander units. Spreads evenly so you get more spread and more value.  It also works very well because the dark color attracts the sun on cold days and helps melt the ice. Unlike some brown sands that can cause a muddy film and make the road look dirty, this product will dry grey and easily clean off your roads blending into the color of the road and shoulder. Angular Particles don’t roll like round sand particles which creates better traction and stays on the road longer. This material can also be mixed with salt depending on your preference.
