Javelin Quarry

The Javelin Mine, originally utilized for sand and gravel mining as early as the 1960s during the construction of i84, changed hands several times before being acquired by Nick Fitzpatrick in December 2018. Under Fitzpatrick’s stewardship, the focus shifted from alluvial sand or gravel to hard rock mining and crushing, aiming to produce high-quality aggregate materials for the local commercial construction industry. By 2019, the site featured a certified truck scale, and advancements continued with the installation of an electric-powered modular crushing spread capable of processing 4500 tons per day by 2022. In 2023, the quarry reached a new peak in productivity, processing a record amount of material and serving a wide customer base across the region.
